In Tom and Jerry meet Sherlock Holmes we are transported back in time to old London, where Jerry has found himself a job as Sherlock Holmes assistant. The city is thrown into a panic, as a diamond thief has been stealing a number of precious jewels; most recently the famous pink diamond. Holmes is put on the case and asks both Tom and Jerry to come along for the ride and help solve the mystery before anymore priceless stones go missing.
Tom and Jerry Sherlock Holmes is filled with the usual smash bang chases which the original cartoon is well known for, even though in this Tom and Jerry DVD they put aside their differences to team up; there is still plenty of cat and mouse friction between them to keep you laughing on the edge of your seat. The new director Earl Kress has thrown in a number of the characters from the TV series, including Spike, butch and a walk on appearance of droopy.
